![]() ![]() And I'm working on different music moods with different chord progressions and sound files so you might come around to it. I think you'll appreciate the stuff I'm working on for the next update, like I've already got some flail type weapon and polearm stuff I'm working on balancing now. It's nice to hear some negative stuff since those are things that have already kinda been nagging me too. Hey, thanks for the feedback! I agree with it all, really. Some variety would be good, they're all roughly the same shape/length. Oh yeah and all your weapons are *tiny* XD I can't fathom how a fan of Hammerfight could prefer music that is basically an endlessly droning toy piano. I'm turning the music off and playing my own. Some realistic metal-hitting glass sounds might be good too. Why not? I would love to hear the armor shatter when I hit it. Also, I just realized there's no cracking/smashing sounds when glass breaks. There are sounds that I like, but overall the game lacks bass. The best noises are the deep bongs, the explosions, and the crunch of hitting bad guys. Not saying you should ditch the idea of everything being made of glass, but it needs work. There's no cracking stone, crunching wood or clanking metal here. Sigma Impact is just missing some of the inherent fun of swinging around heavy weapons. In concept, swinging a hammer around in a dungeon made of glass is an amusing idea. I appreciate the attempt to take the game in a unique direction. Sorry if this sounds cringe but the best I can describe it is: A total lack of masculinity? I kind of hate the aesthetic of this game. ![]() ![]() Perhaps because everything is made of clinking, tinkling glass which is a great segue into.ĭon't get me wrong, I'm enjoying the game and I want to play it more, but this is how I feel about it. It could use more punch, grittiness though. The sound design is pretty good, I like how you sound when you're flying around. I haven't even seen all of the abilities and weapons yet. There's even a gun ability, which you aim of course by swinging your weapon around which makes it very tricky to aim. There's even emergent gameplay since recalling your weapon can make it hit enemies on the way back! I enjoy how this game actually encourages you to throw your weapon, and gives you a chance to recall it so you're not defenseless. I like how there are enemies that charge at you, but you can see where they're going to charge and you can put your weapon in their path so they hurt themselves. Wrangling the physics to time your swing perfectly and land hard hits is really fun. It took some time to get used to the controls, you can very easily lose control of your weapon but that's kind of the point of this genre. The physics of SI feel great so far! The gameplay is fantastic. Thanks for making this game, it's super cool to see a fresh take on something like Hammerfight and I love physics games in general. Go into your operating system's display settings (right-click desktop and head to Display settings > Display adapter properties > Monitor in Windows 10) to make sure the right hertz setting is applied-you may need to update your video drivers as well.I'm coming to this game from being a long time Hammerfight fan, so I'm pretty biased, but so far I'm really enjoying it! The mouse control mode feels fine, I haven't tried the gamepad controls yet but I'm considering it haha. Most LCD monitors use either 59 or 60 hertz, though 75Hz, 120Hz, and 144Hz are also found on premium monitors. The refresh rate is the number of times the computer sends an image to the monitor per second, expressed in hertz. The same thing goes for the power cable: make sure it's secure at both ends, and if the problem persists, replace it if possible.Īn incorrect refresh rate setting can also cause flickering. So first, tighten down the cable on both the monitor and the computer end (making sure to completely tighten any retention screws, if your cable has them) or simply replace the cable. It might be something as simple as a loose or faulty video cable. If your monitor's screen is often flashing or stuttering, there are a few different problems that you could be facing. ![]()
